Summertime, Do You Remember?

Now that summer is here
I can't help but remember our plans
Do you remember them?
The two weeks we'd spend together
One spent here in Indiana
The other spent in Ohio.

A part of me wishes it would stil
Be happening and we'd be together
But you want nothing to do with me
Even had a friend say it for you.
Did you think I would be okay with that?
That it wouldn't kill me even more?

As July approaches,
The time we figured would be best
Do you think of what summer could have brought?
Or do you even care at all?

I wish things would have ended differently
If not at all.
How is it that I am the only one who cares
When in the beginning you cared more?
